Wisconsin RecapWe only hed about 120 miles of riding in Wisconsin, which was a shame because Wisconsin was really fun. We were originally planning to ride across Wisconsin in one day because the idea of having breakfast in Minnesota, lunch in Wisconsin and dinner in Michigan was pretty appealing. Instead, we only made it to Ashland (the Duluth/Superior had too many neat things to do, see Pat's post). We camped (illegally) on the shore of Lake Superior and then rode all the way out of Wisconsin the next day. Our only regrets re: Wisconsin (aside from not riding more miles in the state) are that we did not stop at Gronk's, a cave-man themed bar and grill on the outskirts of Superior. I'm pretty sure that it is the only caveman-themed restaurant I have ever encountered (this is Stuart speaking, maybe Pat has seen one?). Anyway, here's the map. As for elevation, northern Wisconsin is basically rolling hills, nothing too serious.
